Wine Spectator of New York is “The Magazine” on wine culture, of absolute importance to the international wine sector.

Produced by expert wine journalists who taste the wines themselves and review their organoleptic characteristics, Wine Spectator boasts a highly prestigious reputation for the objectivity of its reviews.

In contrast to many other guides and magazines, its journalists and experts taste the wines “blind”, without knowing their origins, provenance or designation, so that they can offer the most objective opinions possible.

The lack of similar secondary aspects thus guarantees a pure, neutral assessment.

Available from newsagents and book shops, but also an app for smartphones and tablets, I Vini d’Italia is the L’Espresso guide devoted to drinking, keeping, purchasing and tasting Italian wine.

It includes tasting comments as well as instructions on how to keep wine, how to serve it in the most appropriate glasses and what dishes to accompany it.

It focuses particularly on the territory, with a system of wine cataloguing by designation, for each region.

Merum is an authoritative two-monthly German magazine on Italian wine and oil.

The articles in Merum describe the wine world and beyond: they talk of the current developments in the Italian wine scene, with in-depth comments and analyses.

They select and review famous wines as well as less well-known ones, describing the classic and more particular areas.

Each issue also includes an in-depth investigation of an Italian agrifood topic.

Emilia Romagna da Bere e da mangiare is the official guide that informs on and promotes the food and wine excellences of Emilia Romagna, the Italian region with the highest number of PDO and PGI products.

Special attention is reserved for wines, with over 300 winery mapped and over 1,000 labels described with an indication of their price, grape variety and terroir, judged by the Italian Sommeliers Association.

Stephen Tanzer is a famous American wine critic and a member of the staff of Vinous.

From 1985 until he joined Vinous in 2014, Tanzer was the editor of International Wine Cellar, an important independent wine magazine read by professionals and wine lovers in America and 34 other countries around the world, and was the first US magazine to be translated into French and Japanese.

The prestigious US magazine Wine Enthusiast was founded in 1988, and provides all kinds of information on the wine and alcoholic beverage world.

Every month it publishes reviews on hundreds of wines, but it also covers the food and wine culture, travel and many other aspects of the wine world.

Published 14 times a year, the magazine boasts 800,000 readers around the world.
